Sydney, the largest and oldest city in Australia. Currently there are 5.3 million inhabitants. The city is located on the Tasman Sea, in southeastern Australia. The city has developed from the natural harbor of Port Jackson, which today houses the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge – two icons of the city.
Australia has one of the most developed economies in the world. However, the Australian market is relatively small with about 24 million inhabitants. Still, Australia can be an interesting market for foreign entrepreneurs. Promising sectors in Australia are: agro and food, horticulture, water, oil and gas, renewable energy, healthcare and medical technology, e-commerce, construction and infrastructure.
Australia has a rapidly growing population. As a result, the country is busy catching up in the field of infrastructure, (agro) logistics and sustainable urban development. For example, a new airport will be built in the west of Sydney in the coming years, surrounded by a new city. In this city there will be housing and a technical university. A large business area is also being developed in the city, which is primarily intended for people working in defense and aviation.
During this webinar you will learn about Sydney, the leading industries, the way to do business in Australia, export and import opportunities, investment possibilities and how to find the right business partner.
