Province invests in founding Frisian export center
In 2020, 10% of our Frisian business will do international business. To achieve this, World Trade Center Leeuwarden and NHL University of Applied Sciences set up the export center 'International Trade Support'. In this export center they work together with the Frisian Export Club and the Chamber of Commerce. The province of Fryslân supports this project with an investment of € 950.925 spread over four years.
Deputy Sander de Rouwe: "In Fryslân there are beautiful companies that produce beautiful products. Products that will do well over the border. We want to help entrepreneurs to internationalize, this new export center is one of the means. "
Establishing an export center is one of the measures of the International Business Attack Plan that the Provincial Council has adopted on May 20, 2015. The aim of this plan is to achieve an export growth of Frisian business from 7% to 10% in four years. An economy in which companies do business internationally is less affected by crises.
